Additional information:

Pepper’s from an alternate Earth that even though it’s the current year, things are a bit different than Marvel 616 or MCU canon. For one, Anthony Stark’s a seventeen year old genius, whom after his father disappears in a mysterious plane accident, he goes to live with his friend Rhodey and his family.

Pepper on this Earth is Patricia, who goes by Pepper because let’s face it sounds a lot better, and she’s the only daughter of divorced parents. While her mother isn’t fully in the picture she lives with her father, who’s an FBI agent. While he’s almost always busy it gives her time to explore the databases on his computer. Pepper’s not a great hacker, but so far she’s managed not to raise too many red flags with the bureau poking around on her father’s computer…

This poking around has pretty much made her the walking encyclopedia of criminals and other bad guys in New York City. It also made her the class weirdo in some way when it comes to her relations in school. Though her poking around has her picking up clues about Stane when it comes to what he’s been doing since the accident that damaged Tony’s heart and caused his father to disappear.

This makes her irreplaceable as an information source for Tony. This gets her close to him, and the two become friends quickly.

When she, Tony and Gene get taken hostage to use against the Mandarin, Pepper's mouthing off almost makes things worse for them, though it does help to buy time for Rhodey to get the armor to Tony so he could fight the two baddies (Even though Pepper latches onto Gene for being the one to help escort her out of the warehouse).

Later when her father's attacked by a S.P.B., she tries to talk to Tony about her concerns with the job her father does, but Tony brushes her off. When she's taken from class to the hospital to see him she brushes Tony off deciding to try to investigate what happened on her own. This makes her a target for the man her father had been trying to get. The guys are able to keep her safe even though to do it Tony lets her in on the fact he's Iron Man, risking everything since she's so talkative.

Pepper's skill with research later helps Tony and Rhodey catch Crimson Dynamo by finding out he has family. While the guys are trying to figure out exactly what to do she rushes to get Vanko's wife and child, bringing them to him ending the situation peacefully.

When she's stuck with Tony for a Drama class project, she makes the connection that the play is closer to Tony's life than it really should be. Though she cuts off before she says it out loud, only because she feels it’s something he doesn’t need to hear at the moment.

When Tony has to leave his stealth armor in Stark Tower, she's the one that comes up with the idea on how to get into the building to retrieve it. The plan is overly simple, and despite not really going according to her plan it still works. It makes Tony realize that if she wanted, she could actually be a threat instead of just a cute face to have around.

Later she puts herself in danger to help Tony out by acting as a diversion in a ‘borrowed’ mascot costume, so that Tony can get into a compound to deliver a computer virus, thus saving his identity from Stane and others. In return Tony goes to a basketball game in order to give the poor sick Pepper the score and play by plays.

Pepper in a fit of jealousy ends up getting detention for herself, Rhodey, Tony, Gene, Happy and Whitney. She's ordered to work with Gene on the project and decides that she's going to have to try to be friends with him if she's going to keep Tony as a friend. Though instead of working on the project she asks him if they can hang out, when Gene bails on her she follows him and gets into trouble with the Maggai and the Tong. Gene calls attention to the situation as Mandarin hoping Tony will come to rescue her; instead he ends up doing it because he doesn't want her hurt. Doesn’t help that the two crime gangs take things wrong and start attacking Ironman leaving Pepper to try to escape on her own (Tony doesn’t even realize she’s there).

Presentation: As an only child of two separated parents, Pepper has always been the attention seeker, she also enjoys the spotlight, even if it is only among her friends.. Being the only girl in Team Ironman helps with that since both Rhodey and Tony don’t seem to mind too much when she forces them to take a break from things; either to help with school, or just to remind them that there is life outside the armory.

She always thinks of others above herself, this is shown by how often she helps Tony, and how she put her health at risk ‘borrowing’ the rival school mascot to boost the morale of the Tomorrow Academy, and how she gets angry at Tony for how he left her and Rhodey out of going to Greenland in order to go after another ring. She’s scared each time Tony puts on the suit, not wanting to hear the news that he won’t be coming back. Though she does her best not to voice this, worried that if Tony knew about the fear he’d stop wearing the suit, and she knows that people out there need his help.

Pepper loves to talk, so much so that it could be argued that she loves the sound of her own voice. This could be explained as a part of being an only child with a busy single-parent. The show gives this weight by having him asleep when she comes home from school or when he is away working a graveyard shift.  This has to be a reason she hangs out at the shop. No child would want to be alone when the alternative is to work on robotics.

Sometimes Pepper suffers from a very common condition that many teenagers and adults suffer from. Foot-in-mouth disease is a horrible condition that can be worked to overcome. When Pepper has an incident she does her best to make it up to her friends. She knows that they would do the same thing if they made a similar mistake after all.  Though usually it takes them either telling her to shut up, or letting her finish her tangent before she realizes the mistake.

Pepper doesn’t like hurting people, nor does she like it if people get hurt. If Tony’s hurt she’s one of the first people to run to his side if possible. She will try her best to protect her friends if she has to, even if it means she’ll get hurt, but feels if she can help then it’s worth it. It’s not that she feels her friends are worth more than she is, she just knows that some of her friends have a better chance of getting them out of a bad situation than she does and will try to buy them time to figure things out, even if that puts her into more danger.

Motivations: Pepper’s motivated for the most part by her emotions. She’s got a strong sense of right and wrong thanks to her father being in law enforcement and a temper that comes from being an only child in a broken household. Though the temper she manages to keep a lid on most of the time.

When it comes to her friends she’s loyal to them, and to their causes even if sometimes they go against everything she believes in; case in point when Tony tells her that Whitney is Madam Mask, she knows that Madam Mask is a wanted criminal, but because she helped Tony and prevented him from getting killed, she keeps the secret from her father. This is knowing that if her father ever found out about it he’d be disappointed in her because she was aiding and abetting a known fugitive.

She’s also guided by her heart, this is shown in how many times she does favors for Tony, or Rhodey in order to help Tony, this is shown in “Cold War” When Rhodey asks her to check out Donald in order to find out exactly what Tony’s getting into and she informs him that Tony’s been lied to in order to get him to help. It’s shown again when she looks in on information about Gene’s step-father and tries to convince Tony that the other teen’s bad news (Even though she falls for him later because someone who saves her life twice can’t be that bad right?)

Grades are important to her, and she’s always worried when she’s partnered up with Tony for an assignment that she’s going to fail, she feels that failing in classes will show poorly when she’s trying to get into SHIELD.  Because she wants to be an agent if only to have a laser gun and a jet pack, only because she thinks they are cool. This is because she’s watched too many spy movies and let’s face it James Bond makes the whole idea of being a spy or agent of a secret government military group look awesome.  Though working alongside Tony she’s started to pull away from those ideals, because robots vs jetpack?  Yeah boot jets win, at least they will if she can ever convince Tony to make her armor.

She’ll joke around that she’s okay with shooting people, but when it comes down to it, she really doesn’t like hurting others. She also doesn’t like it when there’s a situation that normal people (Like the military or cops) can’t handle (Like say a rampaging armored Russian cosmonaut) when it’s clear the best chance for everyone involved is Tony stepping in.  This is because first and second string of responders in situations like that, is local cops and FBI, who are under equipped to deal with robots, as much as they try, they just get hurt, and after her father was hurt by a powered villain she doesn’t want to think of any other kids having to deal with that kind of worry.  It doesn't mean she won't worry about Tony when he is in armor, it just means she trusts that they can recall him and the armor back to the armory before they lose him for good.

Pepper might not be as strong as the boys, but what she lacks in physical strength she more than makes up for in determination and faith in her friends, she relies a lot on them to help her through everything; not because she’s weak, but because she knows that there’s a greater strength in numbers. While she can work on her own (And in a scary mastermind fashion that has Tony worry about if she ever goes evil how screwed he and Rhodes would be), she prefers working with a group because they can usually reel her back from something really stupid.

[The view jostles around a moment as she flops to the bed with a growl. And queue the mile a minute word vomit!]

Okay really the news feeds here suck! All I can get is local news, or stuff on the arena, and their search browser of choice makes Bing look good. You’d think with as advanced as the tech is around here they’d be a little more… you know accommodating to the people they bring here so we can find out what we were dragged into. I think I’d rather be back in that fire fight with the Tong and Magia. At least there it was something to do than sit around…

And the fashions here? Ugh who came up with the designs? I’ve seen better outfits in kiddie cartoons! They really don’t expect me to wear that…

[The camera angle goes over to where a dummy’s dressed in an overly ruffled purple gown that looks like it has bits of armor in a metallic purple stuck on it as an afterthought.]

Because ew, I’d rather just go to the stupid party I’m being forced to go to in a tarp, might look better. [She really doesn’t want to do that but hey she’s frustrated and stuck there so may as well rant.]

Think there’s a way to talk my way out of going? Because I really don’t feel like partying when I miss home. It’s like they’re rubbing it in our faces that we’re here for their entertainment… [She shakes her head] Forget it, I’m just moody. Anyone want to help me try to ruin this abomination? Too bad Ironman’s not here I’d let him use it for target practice. [Because really she hates the dress, and hates more that she’s been ordered to go to the stupid party as a plus one for someone who’s paid for her time. She’s totally expecting some old fat geezer who’ll creep on her all night.] I want to go home…

Prose: “Ow,” The red head rubbed her arm when she’s shoved through the doorway. In the last twenty four hours, this was the second time she’s been kidnapped. Though could you get kidnapped after being taken hostage? There were rules against that sort of thing right? Some bad guy code of ethics that wouldn’t allow it, if not there should be! Because last thing she remembered was looking out the small window in the door and seeing she was surrounded by the Magia and the Tong, The Mandarin was talking to some guy in a white suit; Pepper couldn’t remember exactly who he was off hand… Then she was here, with two guards escorting her to this room where she had been roughly shoved and the door closed behind her.

“You know my father’s going to be looking for me! And you’ll be in deep trouble when he does find you if I’m bruised! And I bruise really easily!” Okay so not really, but it sounded good at the moment. Pepper looks around the room at the various weapons and other equipment, her bravado faging slightly. “And, something tells me you don’t care about that do you? They weren’t kidding when they said this was like some kind of Battle Royale thing were they? You know this is inhumane! You can’t expect whomever you have here to fight for your entertainment!” Though she did glance over the implements, most of them were melee types, and she knew she’d be horrible with that, she wasn’t that athletic, at least more than any New York native, she’d been doing some strength training, if only because she wanted to join SHIELD, but so far that wasn’t enough to go hand to hand with anyone.
Looking at the bow lying there she shook her head, that wasn’t something she’d even attempt. “Give me a cellphone I could impress you, nothing here I can use.” She was mostly talking to herself, though she did grin seeing the sword at the far end of the table. She remembered helping Tony with the first ring because she had picked it up. Maybe she’d actually be able to do something with it this time. There weren’t strange Chinese robots attacking after all.

Lifting the blade she found it was lighter than the one from the temple had been. She held it in a two handed grip, much like you’d hold a baseball bat and did some test swings with it. She hoped she was at least amusing whomever was watching. Longer they thought they could use her they wouldn’t shove her into their arena right?

And the longer I’ll have to try to figure out how to get home or to get message to Tony on where to find me. They couldn’t have taken me that far. I just have to stay alive and figure out how to contact Tony. He’ll come get me right? She thought hearing the voice tell her the test was over. Putting down the blade she yelped as it and the rest of the table started moving into the floor. Guess they don’t want us using them on the guards… She turned to the doorway watching as new people entered to escort her somewhere else.

What is your character scored: Luckily Pepper's normal human, She doesn't have powers. Figure her score's about a 5, if only because she's really not that athletic and has no fighting training period.
